Welcome to a peaceful yet uprooting chapter in my life. Yes you read it right, but how can it be both? It's a strange movement within me, maybe it's because I've moved around to many different cities and provinces in my childhood that change, actually brings peace to my heart. These past few weeks I have had a fire in me I haven't had in a long time. The energy and creativity to redecorate my whole house, I have filled my planner with music related events from sunday to monday, I have taken the time to listen to my body and take care of me, but most of all I've become excited for today, tomorrow, and the days that follow. Trauma works wonky in my life, but I'd like to say and believe that I've been blessed with the mindset that I do have. Although there are a multitude of things that just could cause my head to spin, after the ball drops and I've hit a rock bottom of some sort, it's almost as if I recollect and have a fresh start. It's true in every way, you have the ability to start over because really, there's no other way to go than up and higher from where you've fallen.

With that being said, how exactly can we work on a mindset where trauma is actually a blessing in disguise? From the start, It's important to feel what you need to feel. Recognizing you are hurting and accepting it is one of the strongest tools you can have. In order to let light in, we have to be able to let the dark out and not hoard it away in a place where it can corrupt the light. A clean pallette, which brings us to think logically and realistically. After the emotions subside, our body has a chance to calm down and come back to the tangible. This is where we can begin making a list of both the positives and the negatives of a situation. Even if the negative side bombards the positive, it is good to have a visual of what has happened. Sometimes even when we know there are better things to take out of an experience, we cannot clearly see it or realize how great they actually are. This list can also help you counter the negative side, certain points go hand in hand. Once we've done this, we can highlight and give more power to the good. We can begin to train our mind to relate negatives to positives in a way where we belittle the negatives ( the only time belittling is OK). From there, it is easier to see the calm in the storm. Each time you practice this type of mindfullness, you'll notice it naturally enlightening you in every situation. We can sit in the chaos and recognize that there is something good in the works. And that, I promise will provide just the right amount of hope and encouragement to get you through any obstacle.

It's Easier Said Than Done. I know this my love, but I want YOU to know, that even the attempt to be healthier for yourself is just as important as actually making it there without any bumps in the way. Which by the way, no one has ever gone through hardships flawlessly. I don't think there is enough praise for the moments where we are fighting hard to keep our head above water, those are the moments that harden us and evolve us to be the incredible people we are today. It's worth the same amount of congratulations that the end result receives. I want to appreciate you today, through what ever you are going through. Tell you that you can and will make it to the other side, and if my words can bring you any comfort, that is the page in your book I'd love to be written in. I have had a few things happen in my life this past month, and I am stunned at how well I am doing and the long way I've come. I wanted to share how excited I am to see you flourish and grow just the same. Please feel welcome to send me an email, keep in touch with me and share your moments with me. Let's be here for each other sunshines. Until next time, XoxoSunshineDealer.
